La-Mulana 1 & 2 coming to the consoles

Hello everyone, it’s been a while!

It’s officially announced today, console version La-Mulana 2 will be available in western market!
One more thing, its predecessor, La-Mulana 1 will be released simultaneously!!
Both are coming spring 2020.

The special package, “LA-MULANA 1 & 2 HIDDEN TREASURES EDITION”, includes OST and art book.

Sick Leave

Sorry for the sudden notice, but it seems I have to go to hospital and get surgery next week.
I’m not interested in the disease itself so I don’t remember the name, but it’s something that gives paralysis or pain in the arms due to the pressure to the nerves around my neck.
Paralysis was happening around my right finger since last December, and these days it was giving me intense pain after using a mouse or keyboard for more than an hour.
Most recently, my left side, which is my dominant arm got paralyzed. I have to give up on trying to force myself to work.

However, preparation for my hospital stay is ready since the symptom had been there for a long time.
I already passed all the assets for enemy animations or menu specifications to the programmer, so they can keep working without me.
For myself, I cannot move at all for only a day after the surgery. Then for two weeks my neck will be fixed. Here, I’ve been told from the doctor that I actually should work during that time for rehabilitation, so this won’t stop me from working.

Compared to before, I’ll be able to get enough sleep and I bet the environment will be more serene and calm, so maybe I can concentrate better.
We’ve been too busy with creating the data in front of us, so this should be good timing to reexamine this project as a whole.

Well, I cannot say it won’t affect the schedule at all, but still it’s getting so close to the end.
I’ll complete LA-MULANA2 for sure! Of course as my masterwork!

From now on, we’ll try to announce the release schedule along with the usual progress report.

TOKYO GAME SHOW 2014

We are going to exhibit in the indie game area of TOKYO GAME SHOW 2014.
Both business day and public day, 4 days in total.

The Indie game area is near boundary between HALL 2 and 3, and our booth is close to open patch, it’s almost middle of the area.

I, Naramura, will be around our booth, or pop up PYGMY STUDIO’s booth.
Then, I am at niconico’s booth on Sunday in the morning.

Maybe, I will be away because of taking a break or seeking “”Yo-Kai Watch”” goods for my kids.
Otherwise, I am staying aroud our booth.

LA-MULANA 2 itself is still at the early stage of development, so the playable demo is same as the one we exhibit at Bitsummit and PAX. We made some modification to Kickstarter version.
This time, we are going to unveiling new logo design, and we have made a video.
It’s full of unreleased information, and clarifies changes of “LA-MULANA EX”.
Plus, we have prepared new postcard for TOKYO GAME SHOW 2014.

People in eastern Japan especially who couldn’t come to BitSummit because it was too far, let’s shake hands with me at TOKYO GAME SHOW!

Finally, I met him.

Mr. Inafune’s company, Comcept, is not small, but he said “I set up this company so that I will do what I want.” and said “that’s because the company is an indie game studio”.

We have got a great senior associate in Japanese indie game industry. Please watch the movement of the industry from now on.

The final day of TGS

Well, it’s the final day. I am going to get on the stage of indie game booth twice today.
My 1st talk is scheduled at 10:50. I will appear on “Commentary by the Scene’s Finest: Edition 4” for introducing LA-MULANA. That would be a very short time.
My 2nd talk is scheduled at 16:10. I will appear on “Indie Game Talk Live”.
Surprisingly, Mr. Inafune appears on it, too.

At the night, the start-up party of INDIE STREAM will be held in the head-office building of SCEJ. This event was planed by Naramura and Mr. Agarie who is making TENGAMI from NYAMAM. We have big news only for that party.

We didn’t inform much this time for the people who come to visit our booth in TGS.
We will immediately summarize and release a report on NIGORO’s blog right after TGS.
Some more information about LA-MULANA2 will be also gradually released.
