We have not specially shown the progress of LA-MULANA2 since BitSummit2014, but needless to say, it is under development. Nevertheless, there is nothing we can show you because we are making the base system right now.
To tell the truth, we have begun the full-scale development since the beginning of June because we were busy with the exhibitions such as BitSummit and PAX EAST after KickStarter was funded.
However, it’s not fun to do nothing. The beginning of the development means that detailed specifications of LA-MULANA2 were determined.

Will Time Attack be featured in La-Mulana 2? Would there be rewards for winning? Most people consider the hardest challenges impossible.
Off course it is an option, but we haven’t decided to make Time Attack mode in La-Mulana 2 yet.
And then, seems like a few people have beaten the hardest challenge.

I know only Naramura did music for the remake. Will Samieru compose some music for the sequel?
We will compose whole new music for each fields of La-Mulana 2, so both Naramura and Samieru will work on music same as original La-Mulana. Thanks!

I understand how “Duplex” backwards is “Xelpud”, and “Naramura” reversed syllable-by-syllable is “LAMULANA”, but how does “Samieru” become “Lemeza”? It doesn’t make any sense.

We thought of it in Japanese because we all are Japanese.
“Sa-mi-e-ru” turns “Ru-e-mi-sa”. And then, the professor’s name is “Ru-e-mi-za” in Japanese version.
When it translated to English, “Lemeza” was just made up since it sounds similar to “Ru-e-mi-za”.

I was wondering too if La-Mulana 2 will be released on consoles, particularly the Wii U or 3DS. Also, will be seeing a return of Catball and Surprise Fish?
I’d like to ask two questions.
1) Xelpud and his clan have been revealed to be members of the Seventh race of beings created by the Mother, but they don’t seem to be any different from normal humans. In what ways are they different?
2) Does Lemeza ever wear his swimsuit? If so, when does he bring it out?
Has Nigoro ever considered putting their flash games on iPad and Android?
Will the game be as big as the first one or hopefully even bigger?
Can you make the game faster? Please? I want it now.

The first game mixed humour with very dark and creepy themes. The original new project teaser site also seemed very dark and mysterious. Can we expect this type of tone to the game as well?
I always enjoy a part of the game when the hero is transformed and must find a way to turn back!

How hard are you working towards keeping the mythology of the series consistent? Will we find clues to La-Mulana 2 buried within La-Mulana 1’s lore?
Will we get to ride in any vehicles? On any animals? On a Llama on the Luna?

Loved La-Mulana and the Remake, and I was very glad to see when you started up the Kickstarter for La-Mulana 2. On that note, how much in donations have you gotten from the Playism preorders? Has it been enough to create some Evil Stages?
Also, how much planning has gone into the weapons that we’ll be using? Will they be all-new weapons with new mechanics? Are there any plans for weapon upgrades that will make all the weapons effective even during endgame?
Any progress update on La-Mulana 2 getting a console release (specifically for Wii U)?
What are the major things you learned from watching people play the first game – things that didn’t work out so well and you could improve upon?
In what order do you proceed with the developpement? designing the map? then the traps? then the item? then the music?
I’m really curious about that!
